@beach: These are native marsupials not house pests, and cats, wild and domestic, are destroying them and other small native Australian animals by the thousands each year.......sorry to sound preachy.

@beach: They are a sub species of Antechinus found in Northern central Australia. They move like lightning so although this isn't a great shot it was almost impossible to do much better without the resources of David Attenborough
